This website was taken down in 2014, but in 2023 I decided to resurrected it and bring it back online, as it is now over 20 years old, expect bugs and features to no longer work as they once did.
The website is 90GB in size and contains approx 30,000 photos taken by us between 2003-2011, it is hosted at home on an old HP Proliant NAS running Lotus Domino 8.5 and spanning across multiple databases.
It was first built in late 2003 after Caitlin was born so that my parents who live a bit over 150kms away could see pictures of their Grandchild, from there it grew when we purchased out first real digital camera a Canon Powershot S60 in 2004 and I started to include our other outings and day trips onto the site.
Soon Microsoft Frontpage was becoming unwieldy to manage and in 2004 I recreated it into a Lotus Domino website using a photo template created by Christian Brandlehner called Open Notes Picture Database. In 2005 I merged this template with Blogsphere and that is how it has pretty much stayed since.
This website contains all our adventures from 2003-2011, as the children have grown, our celebrations, our holidays and places visited.
I hope you find this site useful.
Regards
Matthew
