About this website09/06/2009 01:47:48 AM

This website was first built in late 2003 after Caitlin was born so that my parents who live a bit over 150kms away could see pictures of there Grandchild.

From here it grew when we purchased out first real digital camera a Canon Powershot S60 in 2004 and I started to include our other outings and day trips onto the site.

Soon Microsoft Frontpage was becoming unwieldy to manage and in 2004 I recreated it into a Lotus Domino website using a photo template created by Christian Brandlehner called Open Notes Picture Database. In 2005 I merged this template with Blogsphere and that is how it has pretty much stayed since.

This website contains all our adventures since 2003, as the children have grown, our celebrations, our holidays and our places visited.

I hope you find this site useful.

Regards
Matthew

This website is currently over 90GB in size and contains approx 30,000 photos taken by us since 2003, it is hosted at home on an old HP Proliant server running Lotus Domino 8.5 which is connected to the Internet via a dodgy ADSL 2 connection that continuously drops out :(

If you are reading this then you have overcome all the odds and managed to connect to the site during the brief window that everything is actually working.
