10 July, Continuing along the Oodnaadatta through Leigh Creek and stayed at Algebuckina Bridge.
11 July, Turning off at the Pink Roadhouse towards Mt Dare, the night spent at Eringa waterhole, which was filled with bird life, finches, budgies and a couple of Eagles.
12 July, making our way up into the NT, we couldnt stop at Dalhousie Springs as we had dogs, nor could we enter Finke as it was locked down due to Covid, i had planned to refuel at Finke but luckily i had 2x Jerry Cans of Fuel, we stayed the night at Kulgera Service Station. The ceilings of roadhouse are fun, normally with a theme of stuff left by travellers.
13-14 July, Kulgera to Ayers Rock, it's actually quite a bit bigger than I had anticipated?!?!
15 July, After two days at Ayers Rock and replacing a wayward shock absorber bolt on the caravan we made our way to Alice.
16 July, My ignorance..... I was expecting Alice to be a flat, arid, dusty place...
I couldn't have been more wrong!
It's surrounded by an amazing landscape especially the MacDonnell Ranges,
we found Aboriginal rock art carvings in a gorge, 8kms down a rough seldom used track.
17 July, Alice to Arckaringa Station
18 July, Up early to make it to Painted desert for first light then onto Cooper Pedy and to get a flat tyre sorted.
19 July, Cooper Pedy to Point Lowly
20 July, we have heard SA is going into Covid lock down
21 July, Adelaide... With a 2.5km radius
Faced with the decision of where we could get before lock down occured.
So 7 days in Adelaide it is... I guess I can make a start on cleaning the red dust...
Dogs aren't impressed with the decision.
28 July, We are out of Adelaide and lock down and make our way to Mount Gambier
29 July, Home..
