Today was our last day, along with everyone else’s but with the weather forecast for Melbourne in the 40 plus Degs Fiona, Michael, Morna and John made the wise choice to stay for a few more days.
We had a goodbye get together at Betka beach for brunch with 1.5kgs of bacon, 2 dozen eggs and 2 loaves consumed.
In an effort to drag out the return home to the sweltering heat we mad a detour to Point Hicks, where a lighthouse and a giant sand dune are located and which neither I managed to get to with walks of 2 hours return for both.
We settled on the beach and whilst climbing over the rocks to take photos I saw the biggest crab I have ever seen this side of a Chinese restaurant, it must have been close to a foot across.

This website was taken down in 2014, but in 2023 I decided to resurrected it and bring it back online, as it is now over 20 years old, expect bugs and features to no longer work as they once did.
The website is 90GB in size and contains approx 30,000 photos taken by us between 2003-2011, it is hosted at home on an old HP Proliant NAS running Lotus Domino 8.5 and spanning across multiple databases.
