The Australian Land Rover Owners Hut Maintenance Team was formed as a direct result of the losses of High Country huts that occurred in the bushfires in January 2007.

Our objectives are to care for those huts still remaining and to coordinate rebuilding activities where possible.

We will establish and coordinate a system of caretaker groups to maintain existing huts using volunteers.

Our activities are coordinated with Parks Victoria and Department of Sustainability and Environment staff in the Alpine National Park and related areas of Crown Land.
